FAMILY FUN RIDE

This is an 18-mile out-and-back ride, but riders can choose to go as far out as they want, up to the 9-Mile Bridge. The ride winds along Hayfork Creek on gently rolling Hyampom Road past old and current gold claims, an old gold rush suspension bridge at Grandpa’s Place, to the 9-mile bridge and the first crossing of the creek. Look for wildlife in and out of the water—river otter and osprey frequent the area, as well as bald eagles and various ducks. There are many opportunities for riders to pull over and enjoy the sights, eat, rest, and relax before returning to the finish at the fairgrounds.
